What are you proposing?
We are proposing to bring forward the redevelopment of Mitre Wharf (131 Scrubs Lane).
Our proposals will be in accordance with the Mitre Wharf allocation in the emerging OPDC Local Plan (ref 31), which seeks at least 100 new homes and commercial floorspace at the site.
We are currently proposing to bring forward 148 homes and 630 sq m of flexible commercial floorspace, with a focus on activating and bringing back public access to the canal frontage in this location.
Will the proposals be ‘Secured by Design’?
We will consult the Metropolitan Police Service’s ‘Secured by Design’ team ahead of submission to ensure buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live, work, shop and visit.
Who makes the decision on the application?
The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) are the local planning authority (LPA).
The OPDC planning officers will undertake a detailed review of all the application documents and plans that will be submitted as part of the application. All of these will be available to view on the OPDC website once the application has been submitted.
OPDC officers will produce a summary of their findings and will make a recommendation to the OPDC planning committee.
The OPDC planning committee will be open to the public with a decision on whether the application should be approved by OPDC Members.
